Lauren Rice serves as a business development and research coordinator at Insight. Lauren spent the early years of her career in direct service and education, spending years in non-profits big and small across the DC metro area. After seeing the importance of having staff who understood both the programmatic side on your fundraising team, she transitioned into the development field to help local, national, and international nonprofits raise funds to continue their work.
Lauren continues to stay engaged with the local community through multiple volunteer roles. She volunteers for the Smithsonian Associates helping to host events at museums throughout the year and is as the volunteer coordinator for the Japan-America Society of Washington DC’s Sakura Matsuri. She has a Master of Arts in Public Anthropology with an emphasis on Linguistics and Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology both from American University.
In her free time, she is often sewing, reading, or hiking. She also enjoys traveling in search of a new favorite food.
