Insight Education Group, Inc. ("Insight") provides this notice explaining our online information practices for our Site and the way your personal information is collected and used.  If you do not agree with the practices explained in this policy, you should not use our Site. This policy applies only to information Insight collects from you in connection with your use of our Site. By using our Site, you agree to accept the practices and terms set forth in this Privacy Policy.  Capitalized terms not defined in this policy shall have the meaning set forth in the Terms and Conditions for the Site.

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you use or communicate with us via the Site, subscribe to periodic communications from us, respond to a survey or fill out a form.

You may visit our Site anonymously.  While most of the information we collect (independent of the information you make visible to us and others within the Site or voluntarily communicate to us by email or otherwise) is used internally for site analysis and improvement, some of the Site use data is used in compiling reports that we may disclose as part of our business.  However, it is important to note that, except as stated in this Privacy Policy, Insight will never disclose or associate with your site usage any of your personally identifiable information.

How do we use your information?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

1. To personalize your experience (your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs).

2. To improve our Site (we continually strive to improve our offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you).

3. To improve customer service (your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs)

4. To administer a survey or other Site feature.

5. To send periodic emails; the email address you provide may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to the Site, in addition to receiving occasional company news, updates, related product, industry or service information, etc.

Note: If at any time you would like to stop receiving future emails from us other than those emails necessary to communicate with you about any of our service(s) that you are using, please use the unsubscribe instructions we place at the bottom of each email.

How do we protect your information?

Due to the open nature of communication through the Internet, we cannot guarantee that communications between you and the Site, or between you and us directly, will be free from unauthorized access by third parties, nor that third parties will not be able to circumvent the security safeguards we have put in place for the storage of usage data and other information you may transmit to us. Users of the Site do so at their own risk. Insight cannot absolutely guarantee the security of any information that is disclosed or transmitted online.

Do we use cookies?

Yes.

Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser that enables the sites’ or service providers’ systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

We use cookies to understand and save your preferences for future visits and compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future. We may contract with third party service providers to assist us in better understanding our site visitors. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business.

If you prefer, you can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off some or all cookies via your browser settings. Like most websites, if you turn your cookies off, some elements of our Site may not function properly.

Do we disclose any personally identifiable information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties except as expressly stated in this Privacy Policy.  Non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

We do disclose your personally identifiable information to trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or assisting you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your personally identifiable information when we believe release is appropriate in order to respond to a law enforcement agency request, subpoena, court order or other such request by a legal authority, to otherwise establish or exercise our rights or defend against legal claims, to investigate, prevent and take action regarding fraud or misuse of the Site, or to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Insight or others.

Your personally identifiable information may be provided to a third party if Insight files for bankruptcy, or there is a transfer of the assets or ownership of Insight.

Insight, its partners, and each of their contractors and employees may view your personally identifiable information and Site usage data in order to provide the Site and otherwise perform the tasks set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Third party links

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third party applications, products or services on our Site or Service, or links to third party websites or applications. These third party offerings have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these third party offerings. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these offerings.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act).  We do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our Site is directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.

Online Privacy Policy Only

This online privacy policy applies only to information collected through our Site and not to information collected offline, or to information we do not deliberately collect or need for the provision of our Site, but which you may independently volunteer to send us, whether online or offline (including without limitation through a “contact us” or similar online form or directly by email).

Reasonable Efforts

We will use reasonable efforts to comply with this Privacy Policy and will take prompt corrective action when we learn of any failure to comply with our Privacy Policy. We sometimes release beta versions of our products and services, which are further refined before the release of the final version. Because these products and services are still in a test phase, we may not always catch an unintended privacy issue, despite our efforts to do so. As such, we welcome feedback on any privacy concerns you may have. In light of the above and because of the complex and constantly changing nature of our technology and business, and the security risks associated with using the Internet, Insight does not guarantee error-free performance under this Privacy Policy. TO THE EXTENT PERMISSIBLE UNDER LAW, INSIGHT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES RELATING TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY.
