Rachel Simic, Senior Associate

Rachel Simic is a senior associate with Insight and is primarily responsible for supporting districts in the implementation of the Resilient School Support Program in Texas.

In her previous role, she coordinated the development of statewide training, resources, marketing launches, stakeholder engagement, and technical assistance for various federal and state grants on behalf of the Texas Education Agency.

Additionally, she has worked to develop campus/district education frameworks, provide school improvement and intervention support, coach and develop leaders, and manage statewide grants that build system supports and leadership capacity across the state of Texas. Change management, social and emotional learning, parent and community engagement, coaching, and difficult conversations are among the extensive topics covered in her training development and presentation delivery.

Rachel is originally from upstate New York but has lived in Austin, TX for the past 11 years.

Rachel was a special education teacher for several years in Washington, D.C. As a result, she believes that integrating curiosity and compassion are instrumental to establishing trust and safety within and across teams. She draws inspiration from authentic conversations and embraces “failing forward” when creating human-centered experiences.

Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology from The University of Delaware and master’s degree in Special Education and Human Development from The George Washington University.
