Bill Vassilogambros is a grant specialist at Insight Education Group, helping manage federal grants won by Insight. He is currently working with The Innovation Project on their TSL grant. He is training their Grant Manager and working with the 8 North Carolina school districts participating in the grant to ensure accuracy in reports, compliance with federal regulations, and overall grant management. Bill is also responsible for completing yearly audits and completing annual performance reports for USDOE. Prior to his time at Insight,
Bill worked in Public Health at local and state health departments in Illinois, Colorado, and Arkansas. In these roles, he conducted health inspections and trainings for retail food establishments, onsite wastewater treatment systems, and childcare facilities, while also managing grant funds awarded to environmental health programs. Bill holds a bachelor’s degree in public health from Northern Illinois University
Bill has seen firsthand, the disparities in health equity across communities in the states he’s resided in and took pride in helping these communities achieve a healthier standard of living; working with local and state municipalities to create and amend policies and regulations aimed at health equity. He has always had the drive to help people in his community and is now happy to be part of a team at Insight helping students across the country get the education they deserve.
