It's one of our favorite times of year. It's California education conference season!
Last weekend, we (Jason and Heather) enjoyed meeting many new educators California League of Schools North Conference. We'd love to stay in touch. If we didn't get your info or you'd like to learn more about Insight, send us your info.
This week, we're excited to be at the California Charter School Conference (#CCSAcon). A number of us from Insight will be there and we'd love to see you.
Stop by and see us booth #822 or check out a number of sessions we're leading.
It is clear from research that teacher quality is perhaps the single greatest determinant of student success that schools can control. Accordingly, schools are revamping the way they support teachers.
Teachers want to make sure that those observing/coaching them are experts in their grade/content areas (especially with Common Core).
How can video support school leaders' efforts to provide their teachers the feedback they need and also be time and cost efficient?
Description: How can schools ensure high expectations and academic rigor using Common Core or state standards without stifling the innovative nature of the teaching profession?
In this highly engaging and interactive workshop, participants will learn about a process that empowers teachers and administrators to address this critical question.
Participants will learn to use research-based strategies and resources, Bloom's Taxonomy, a standards analysis process and the Common Core standards for developing authentic learning experiences in a standards-based system.
In this session, participants will explore issues related to both curriculum and professional development and their alignment to the new standards.
Specifically, participants will explore the Common Core State Standards and identify specific actions they can take to begin integrating Common Core Standards into their instructional programs.
Learn about implementation practices from across the country as a way to assess your readiness and capacity to implement the Common Core effectively.
[Be sure to check out downloadables, including Common Core Implementation Self-Assessment.]
See you there!
