Jason Stricker

Jason Stricker is the Chief Operating Officer of Insight Education Group, Inc. Mr. Stricker supervises employees, manages contracts, and develops new business for Insight Education Group. Prior to his work at Insight, Jason taught for several years in Tennessee and California at the elementary and secondary levels. Additionally, he has worked at the district and county office levels in public education. Through his experiences Jason brings to his work an understanding of how educational change affects stakeholders at different levels. His expertise in the areas of aligning standards, assessment and instruction, as well as teacher education, literacy and staff development have afforded him the opportunity to work with both aspiring and veteran teachers and administrators.

Jason's belief that all students can achieve high levels serves as the foundation for his work with underperforming and distinguished schools alike. In an effort to facilitate lasting change in schools and districts, Jason has designed and implemented a Standards-Based Curriculum Academy for teachers and administrators throughout the nation.

Additional accomplishments include:

  • Co-author of Strategic Design for Student Achievement; a book on standards-based education published by Teachers College Pres
  • Authored nation-wide teacher training content seminars for The New Teacher Project
  • Presented standards-based professional development model at ASCD, NSCD, and Phi Delta Kappa
  • Designed and delivered standards-based curriculum academy for administrators and teachers in over 40 school districts throughout Fresno County

  • Created and presented client specific literacy workshops for K-12 schools. Workshop topics included Teaching Reading and Writing Across the Content Areas, Reading Comprehension, Improving STAR Writing Scores, Literacy Centers, Meaningful Teaching Practices for English Language Learners
  • Provided targeted assistance to children in grades K-8 who experienced difficulty attaining early literacy skills. Used best practices such as Reading Recovery principles and Guided Reading.

Jason holds a Masters degree in education from Belmont University and is affiliated with Phi Delta Kappa International, the National Staff Development Council (NSDC), the International Reading Association and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD).
